Paris, May 23rd

So today we got up super early in Barcelona at like 6am. We got packed and checked out of the hotel, and got a taxi to the airport. We got the airport and easily checked out bags and waited for our flight. Good thing we got there early though, because there was only one lady checking bags at the air France check in. Anyhow the flight was alright we both we a bit cramped in the seats since they had less leg room than the southwest planes! We slept the whole way and quickly got our bags and found our driver. We were off to our hotel! We found out that our hotel is considered the third most luxurious hotel in Paris! Thanks parents! Anyhow we checked into our hotel and they had a special lounge set aside for Starwood members (which we are) but unfortunately we waited for an hour and half in the lounge when they said it would only be 15 minutes for our room! Yuck! Anyhow we quickly put our bags down and then we were out the door. We ventured over to these movie theathers that we say on the drive in, and arrived at perfect timing to see the new Indian Jones movie which was a huge bust to anyone who hasn’t seen it! It was a bit to corny for either Bry’s or I’s taste. After the movie we managed to navigate ourselves over the the Louvre but quickly realized that we had forgotten our euros. So then we wandered through the park behind the Louvre, and tried to find this one dinner place that wanted to go to. But we got lost and then gave up on the restaurant and just tried to navigate our way back to the hotel, and we got all turned around and wandered the streets for what seemed like an hour. Paris is much less easily navigated as Spain was. Plus we have this guidebook that focuses on the main part of the city and we somehow ventured just off the map so it was kind of hard to try to figure out where the heck we were! Our feet began to hurt tremendously before we finally figured out how to make out way back to the hotel. We were also starving by that point and we found this restaurant at the back of this bakery and it was amazing! We got these hamburgers with fried eggs on top of them. But they weren’t any normal hamburgers, they didn’t have buns! But all the same they hit the spot! Now we are exhausted at the hotel and we are going to bed! Goodnight everyone!

Here are some pictures from our wanderings
