Madrid Spain, our last day (may 17th)

So last night we didn't sleep all that well. We both woke up in the middle of the night. I got up and read a little bit, and Bry decided to surf the tv to try and find the lakers vs jazz game. Well he found it and stayed up from 430-630 watching it! It's nice that we have a suite because we can close the door from the family area to the bedroom so he could watch the game in the other room. But once the game was over bry started yelling at the tv, and I woke up thinking maybe something is wrong, and went into the other room but it was just bry upset that the jazz lost. I wish they would have beaten the Lakers because I don't like them either! Well once we got up this morning we went down the starbucks on the corner and got ourselves some hot chocolate and then went to find a place to eat. We walked around the city a bit and in the plaza mayor we got our portraits drawn! Cartoon portraits of course. It was soooo fun! After that we decided that today we were going to look at the two big parks in the city. The first one we went to was a botanical garden called the real jardin botanico and the second was a HUGE public park called parque del retiro. They were both so wonderful. Bry and I were bummed that we didn't bring out books because it was such a beautiful day! So we walked around the parks until around 630ish and came up to the hotel to nap and get ready for dinner. For dinner we went out to this Spanish place with Pamela(my baby sister from when I was little). We had some typical Spanish dishes. They were interesting to say the least. We talked with pamela about how long she is planning to stay here and talked to her about how we met and such. It was fun! We got some ice cream to top the night off. The city really comes alive here at night. It's so wonderful all lit up! Anyhow so here are the pictures from the day! They are all out of order, sorry :)
